Just wondering if people (other than Mab, perhaps) are still paying attention to this, or still want to pay attention to this.

It has occured to me multiple times that another demonstration session is probably not what people want. I don't particularly want to do one either, but I have received no information from anyone other than Mab on the current stances of the current characters. Heck, I didn't even know what the past stances were with half the cast, which is why I requested new character info from everyone. What I would like most to do with the next session is to sit all the characters who show up in a room and have /them/ come up with something to do, perhaps with some gentle prodding from me, but that's a little difficult with the plot having everyone under house arrest under the frozen Russian soil. *sigh*
Of course, there is the problem of Elizabeth that must be dealt with. (Stupid Nielle, now she can't help journal 'cause she went and lost the character she was contributing journalish with. :P) Perhaps you creative young super heroes can figure something out with that...
This is a reminder to anyone who may have slept through our little meeting or who may suffer from simple forgetfulness. There was an incident yesterday which has led to some horrible consequences. Elizabeth Danson has gone missing. You can be assured that we are doing everything in our power to find her. I don't feel the need to point out the names of the people responsible, as I'm sure their guilt and their fellow students will trouble them sufficiently. Apparently the reason for this incident was due to restriction of mobility. Unfortunately, the only possible consequence is further restricted mobility. No first-year student is to leave their rooms without a teacher present until further notice. This includes leaving with second-year students. A second-year student will be posted in each of the two rooms so that contact with the teachers can be made if necessary. Anyone found leaving their rooms will be placed in solitary confinement for an undetermined length of time. If you think these rules are harsh, please remember that you were given an opportunity to leave the school and you chose to continue. This is only a temporary measure until the current problems can be solved. Please be as patient as psosible.

Lessons, although obviously necessarily restricted, will continue as normally as possible, especially regarding Mastery. Although we do not have sufficient staff to cover this, the training of your specialties becomes of greater importance with each passing minute under these circumstances. During the upcoming week, I and the other teachers here will be working with you daily to help each of you discover and control your power. At the end of the week, I will expect each of you to have a demonstration prepared, so please be attentive to your lessons.
We will also be spending as much effort as possible recovering Elizabeth, so I'm sure your understanding of these stressful circumstances will ensure that every student pays complete attention and respect to staff and other students.
OOC: Yes, I do intend to have another "demonstration" evening, but this time it will be up to you guys, so please think up something if you intend to come to the session. Because there are no numbers involved, I'm hoping it will be easier to come up with something -- whatever you think the student could accomplish safely that shows they have learned something in terms of controlling what they can do. They can have a mishap or a failure or something to that effect, but they should still be working on some sort of presentation. I know some of you had trouble with this last time, but also because I've removed the numbers I am no longer entirely sure of what your characters can do, so please show me. ^^ Assume the teachers will help you and you can organize aspects of that with me if you want. The teachers present are Mrs. Dacosta and Mr. Young, who I believe are respectively in charge of physical superiority and electronics and gadgetry-related powers. Mrs. ENG is also conveniently with you and has mental faculties of near deity status, so if you don't know what your powers are, she does. Any questions? Here please.
And for anyone unclear, YES, returning characters are also supposed to fill out the little character form under the Important Information down there, as part of reclarifying just exactly what your character is.
And here's tonight's little adventure, muha!

Other OOC announcements:
1 - Yes I will be posting the contents of Mrs. ENG's lecture, blahblahblah, at some point after the lecture "occurs" tomorrow, so keep that in mind while journalling. The jist of it will be no one's ever allowed to leave their rooms again without a teacher with them, something like that. Of course, we all know that won't last very long, but yeah.
2 - Please try and do up those little forms for me, as it's rather difficult for me to say whether or not a character can do this or that when the designer of the character has not put down in paper what they can and cannot do, thank you. ^^ If you have no idea what I'm talking about, please see the "Important Stuff" in the previous entry. :P
3 - There should be another game next week around the same time, maybe earlier if that's okay. I will try and be less stupid about it so if people show up late the not in another inconvenient location. If you'd like to request a different time, you can try.
Questions/comments? Here's good.
Interested in playing a little bit of school-for-young-superheroes roleplay? This is the place. :) A full copy from the recent startup e-mail will be behind the cut. Any questions or comments can be posted right here.

There are 5 logs, one for each session. The timing will be skewed for the restart, but at least they will be visible for everyone's viewing pleasure.

Nate is a short, thin, wisp of a young man. His brown hair is shaved completely off and his features are sharp. Although you can tell that he looks 17ish, his face looks worn, as if aged prematurely by too much sun. His eyes are sharp, constantly moving, as if scanning. He wears a simple white t-shirt with silk-screened punk band logo and calf-length army shorts. He has a spiked bracelet and wears a bikechain around his neck.
Pru is short 5'3", with auburn hair and watery blue eyes. She has a faint but noticable Brittish accent. Her hair is long, but it's hard to tell how long because it's up in a massive bun on the back of her neck. She's waring a cream blouse under a blue sweater with matching navy blue pants and Mary Jane's on her feet.
Reveille is a tall young man with a pleasantly aristocratic look to him - long-limbed and graceful, but with enough muscle to keep him from looking gangly, and a healthy tan. His face is smooth and oval, with exceptional grey-green eyes set over a thin, pointed nose and expressive lips; his black hair is cut short and spiky, the tips dyed a deep ember-red. He wears a white button-up shirt open down to the third button, tucked into matte black vinyl pants belted with a studded leather belt that's about a foot too long for his waist, leaving the extra danging over his left thigh. There's a choker made of wooden beads and twine around his neck, each bead marked with a little iconographic character.
Milo - short, glasses, kinda geeky, doesn't follow much that goes on around him
Meghan has shoulder length black hair, tied in a ponytail. She wears glasses with stretched octagon lenses. She wears jeans and a sweater and is always carrying around books in foreign languages.
Bonnie is a small, peppy girl of about 17 years of age. Her blonde hair is pulled back in a tight ponytail with a pink scrunchie, and she is grinning a very "look ma, no cavities" grin. She's wearing a grey hoodie overtop of a pink tank top, with non-descript designer jeans. Her giggle is all-pervasive.
( Welcome to MIMCollapse )
All MIM Mastery students (i.e. not all MIM students, but only the ones training up powers) receive a letter something like this:

The MIM Mastery program has run into an unfortunate situation which may prove a risk to the lives of our students. Any Mastery students currently studying internationally or on international leave are not to return to the main campus under any circumstances until further notice. Mastery students currently at the campus may take this opportunity to go on leave or may join a regular Arts program until the situation returns to normal.
If there are any problems with this, I will be in contact with all of you over the next few days. You may bring issues to me personally.
This crisis will unfortunately force this year's new students to make a permanent decision earlier than I would ordinarily request such from them. Due to the current situation, each Mastery student must decide now whether or not they are to continue in the Mastery program. If you are not ready to make this decision, you will return to the school under a regular Arts program and continue your education in the usual manner. If you are ready to devote yourself to the study and development of your personal Mastery, you may not leave the program until you have completed the two full years of training. I apologize for forcing this decision on you, but there are no other options at the moment.
I am certain you all understand the urgency of these matters.
I will contact each of you shortly,
This is long. Please read if you care. The options I need a decision about will be at the bottom if you don't care. :)

Please keep in mind that next week's morning training session will be a skill demonstration for your fellow residents. Please come up with a project you can show the other students in order to show what you have learned. If you have any questions or difficulties, see either your myself or your respective professors.
This is a new service being provided to students and faculty in order to making sharing information a little easier. If you need an account, ask Mr. DeBoer in room 219 or you can e-mail the main mimstaff account.
